It's the Cuteness Factor

Cute doll a-plenty from doll Artists this year!  This lovely lady will be making her appearance at IDEX in February; she's by Diana Effner who has recently created two dolls for the Boneka line.

Possibly, the cutest doll on the planet...

Second Prize for cuteness goes to Helen Kish for her Toy Ellery.  The little toy doll has a moulded face and bead strung limbs.

Toy Ellery - ultra cute!

Sommer Kinder by Himstedt

As if the price of the Atlantis dolls hadn't stretched our purses enough, Annette announces 2 toddler girls with a whopping £660 EACH price tag!

I think Himstedt is beginning to divide Collectors into the 'haves' and 'have nots' with such high prices for vinyl dolls - but read more of this on my Blog.

Himstedt Summer Kinder - if only the prices were 'kinder'

Jan McClean

After NO releases for 2005, Jan Mclean has come back with a Collection that gives Mclean fans more of her most popular style of dolls.

Isabella II and Keisha II are second versions of their popular namesakes from 2004 and are made of vinyl - at around £295 each, the prices doesn't hurt as much as Himstedt, either.

Although I like this type of doll, I do feel uncomfortable with Jan's toddlers - she uses heavy make-up for the dolls, very much in the US toddler Beauty Pageant style, and I don't like to see what is essentially 'little girl' dolls made up this way (see below)

Lola Belle - a little too Lolita for my tastes
